Q. Am I guaranteed an event t-shirt?

A. If you register by April 1, 2022, you are guaranteed a shirt. If you do NOT register before April 1, you are not guaranteed a shirt, but a limited number of shirts will be available after that date. We’re sorry if this causes any inconvenience, but while we understand that everyone wants a shirt, it just is not cost-effective for us to order extra shirts for those that do not register early. Our ultimate goal with this event is to get as many vets as possible on flights to their memorials in Washington, D.C.

Q. When can I pick up my run packet?

A. You may pick up your packet on:

Thursday, March 21st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. • Live Music By: Brad Emanuel  6-9pm

Friday, April 22nd from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m.  • Live Music: Mattea Joy

Saturday, April 23rd from 10AM – 11:45*

*Packet pick up will be available race day but will close promptly at 11:45!

Q. Can I get a beer (or two) when I pick up my run packet?

A. This is highly recommended, but only if you pick up on Thursday or Friday.

Q. When is the last day to register?

A. Online registration closes at 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20th. After this cut off, you can register in the taproom if the 2022 person cap has not yet been reached until 11:30 a.m. on race day. Please be prepared to pay with cash or check or credit card.

Q. If I decide not to run/walk after registering, can I get a refund?

A. We’re sorry, but there are no refunds for cancellations. You can, however, give your race bib to another person to fill your place (but we suggest keeping your beer ticket and coming to the Bock Fest anyway).

Q. I signed up for the Bock Buster, but now I’m scared... Can I switch races?

A. We tested the route, and we did it (plus, we’re old)! But... you can always turn left and join those doing the regular route—we won’t judge you too hard. You won’t, however, be eligible to place. So to answer your question, no, you may not officially switch races.

Q. Will there be water along the course?

A. Yes, there will be water on McIntosh St. for the regular course. There is no water station on the Bock Buster course. (That’s your incentive to run even faster to get to the end and your beer!)

Q. Can I listen to music while I run?

A. Yes, but please do keep in mind that this is an open course and we want you to be safe. We have people directing/stopping traffic at intersections, but there is a chance that a car will come through where you are running, so do make sure you’re alert while you run.

Q. Are dogs allowed?

A. Yes, you may bring your dog, but please line up at the back of the pre-race pack as a courtesy to others.

Q. Are strollers allowed?

A. Yes, strollers are allowed on both routes. We ask that strollers line up at the back of the pack; however, if you are a superstar runner that also pushes a stroller, feel free to line up in the front and prove that you belong there (we have been beaten by you stroller-pushers before—we know you’re out there).

Q. Is the course hilly?

A. The regular 5K Run/Walk course has a couple of small hills. The Bock Buster has A LOT of rolling hills... the first one is killer. But don’t let that scare you away! It’s all downhill after the halfway marker (...not). Just remember your well-deserved, delicious beers waiting for you at the end.

Q. Will the event happen rain (or, more realistically, snow) or shine?

A. Yes! Fingers crossed for shine... do your reverse rain-dances to keep the water in the sky!

Q. Where can I park?

A. Carpool. Carpool. Carpool. There is parking on the streets around the brewery. Watch for volunteers who will direct you where to go.

Q. Can I contact someone with additional questions?

A. Yes, please call us at the brewery, 715-842-2337. We are happy to help you with anything.
